Canonry is an AI-powered worldbuilding platform that helps creators develop fictional universes. The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with content generation, provide suggestions, and help organize worldbuilding materials.

3. User Accounts

To use Canonry, you must create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us of any unauthorized access

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create using Canonry, including worlds, documents, characters, and other worldbuilding materials. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

5. AI-Generated Content

Canonry uses AI services (including OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate content suggestions and assist with worldbuilding. Important things to understand:

  • AI-generated content is provided as suggestions and should be reviewed before use
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or quality of AI-generated content
  • Your content may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses
  • You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures or access restrictions
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canonry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
